Your right to have data deleted
At Vince People, you can request the deletion of the personal data we process about you. On this page, you can read how to submit such a request, what happens after you submit it, and what data we are required to retain for legal reasons.
How to request removal
- Through your account — log in to the Vince People platform or app and go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Data.
- By email — send a request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Request to delete data”.
To protect your identity, we may ask for additional verification before we process your request.
Deleting data shared via Facebook
Did you sign up using "Log in with Facebook"? If so, there are two ways to have your data deleted:
- Please submit a request to us using one of the methods listed above; or
- Remove the Vince People app from your Facebook settings (Settings → Apps and Websites). We will then receive a notification and delete or anonymize the associated data.
What happens after you submit your request
- We confirm receipt of your request.
- We will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, provided that no legal retention requirement or other compelling interest prevents us from doing so.
- We will notify you once your request has been processed and explain which data, if any, will be retained and why.
What data we are required to retain
The right to erasure is not unlimited. In the following cases, we may retain some or all of the data, even after a request for erasure:
- Tax and administrative records (such as invoices and payment details via the escrow account): statutory retention period of 7 years.
- Contract and compliance data necessary to comply with legal obligations or to initiate or support a legal claim.
- Healthcare-related data subject to a statutory retention period under healthcare law.
In such cases, we limit processing to what is strictly necessary and delete the data as soon as the retention period has expired.
Request via a client
If you work through a healthcare institution or an intermediary and that organization has provided your data to us, that organization may be the data controller. In that case, we will delete the relevant data in consultation with that organization and in accordance with our data processing agreement.
Complaint
If you disagree with how your request was handled, please contact us at [email protected]. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
