Working as a recovery nurse in healthcare

Are you fascinated by how patients wake up after surgery, and would you like to support them during that crucial initial phase? As a self-employed recovery nurse through Vince, you determine your own work schedule and rate. Meanwhile, we take care of the administrative hassle, so you can focus on providing high-quality postoperative care.

What does a recovery nurse do?

A recovery nurse (also known as a recovery room nurse) assists patients who have just come out of the operating room. You monitor vital signs, check pain management, and intervene in case of complications such as breathing problems or bleeding. In addition, you reassure patients when they wake up confused from anesthesia and provide them with information about their further recovery. You will have frequent contact with anesthesiologists and the operating room team to ensure the best possible aftercare.
